L.A. ZOO (and link update!)

Great place to draw and not only animals, the greenery around is fantastic too, some groups of people and/or individuals are also worth a shot.
Anyway, a great few hours scattered here and there with the inevitable thought of 'some of these animals look really out of place...'. Fantastic opportunity to see them live and in motion otherwise.

Btw I just read at 'Lines and Colors' about the 'Freelancers Union' (see links). -Very- interesting.

Marcos, you are amazing -- what beautiful sketches. I really can feel the weight of that monkey swinging from branch to branch.

You need to contact the Sharpie marker company. I think they would be surprised to learn that their fat marker is a finely tuned artistic instrument of choice for one of the premiere artists in the world. :)

cool! it looks digital to me, what did you use for hardware/ software?

Marcos Mateu said...

-Thank you all for coming by and for your comments!

-Thanks Marcelo!, the monkeys were definitely something else, they sure had an attitude worth transferring on to a piece of paper :)

-Daniel, the color is photoshop on a Cintiq, but if you are talking about the drawing, it's a sharpie marker as Marcelo was saying.
